Since first listing this series, we have discovered there were at least two releases, one in the early 80s, another 10 years later. The earliest release was housed in binders with a gold edging and a title The Unexplained (just that) on the front cover in letters about 1cm high. The later release was a complete re-vamp, with articles re-sequenced and lots more colour photos. The binders for this release have the title in much larger letters across the full width of the binder, and the sub-title 'Mysteries of Mind, Space and Time' underneath. Collectors of the first release were encouraged to remove the magazine covers - a common practice with Orbis publications - so that the page numbers would flow in sequence within the binders. Individual parts were then filed using flat metal strips passed through the staples. It is still possible to use these binders with the later release but, since the inside back cover carries an 'Eyewitness' feature, a valuable part of the collection could be lost if the covers were removed. It's therefore much more sensible to use the newer binders with plastic clips to hold each complete magazine in place. At the present time (May 2008) we do not have any of the newer binders in stock.
The listings below were taken from the first release. We have many loose issues and binders from this release, which is still popular, and can usually obtain or put together a complete set if that's what you are looking for. We also at present (May 2008) have the first 49 magazines from the 1990s release. For a limited time, you can purchase these in volume form (12 mags) for the same price as a first release volume, but without a binder. If ordering individual copies, you will need to tell us which edition you require. Trust that's clear but if not, please use 'Contact' to enquire.
