Originally billed as 'The First Encyclopedia of Pop in 26 Parts', the editors must have been kicking themselves when they found it still popular towards the planned end. Solution: they carried on with a few more 'Specials' up to Part 40 and wound up with a flourish called 'The Beatles Story'. There are 4 bound volumes to the full series.
