Marshall Cavendish 1977, in 52 parts

No doubt inspired by the success of 'The Good Life' TV series and renewed interest in minding allotments, the Grow Your Own series was produced towards the end of the 1970s.

A simple, no-nonsense, step-by-step approach to fruit and veg growing, each issue concentrated on one popular species (quoted below against the Magazine Part Number). The whole series gave useful tips on cultivation techniques appropriate to the season of year.

Each issue has a section corresponding to a week in the gardening calendar. This, the First Edition, runs from March week 2. If you already own the Second Edition, you'll find the week number and featured fruit/vegetable will be altogether different (see next Title entry).
