Availability

The items shown on this web site have been previously owned and are sold subject to availability.  In the event of supply difficulties, we will attempt to contact you, usually by e-mail. For most items, we keep only one or two in stock. Sometimes we have as many as 10 but this is exceptional. We will generally attempt to indicate availability but, if you require more than one and it's not clear what's on offer, use the 'contact' button to check before ordering. Once an item has been allocated for purchase, if there is no further stock, we will usually suspend its listing until new stock arrives. This may result in gaps where specific items in a range are currently unavailable. Please be aware that obsolete pages are often cached on internet servers and, unless your browser is set to look for latest versions, there's every chance you may pick up a page with out-of-date information. Sorry, there's nothing we can do about that.

If we receive orders for items which are not in stock, we will get in touch as soon as possible to explain the position. You may be happy to wait until we obtain the item(s) you require in which case we will place your requirements on back order and deliver on a first come, first served basis. Alternatively, we will offer you a full refund on any payment you have made.

If your order is for several items and we are missing just a few we will, at our discretion, send those we have available with an undertaking to send the remainder at a later date, or refund those items still missing. This will depend upon the circumstances of the order eg. for 'economy' shipping, it may be necessary to hold back the main order until all items are available. If we have some leeway on costs, we are willing to be flexible and attempt to meet your most urgent requirements first. 

If you have items which might fill gaps in our stock, or if you have entire collections you wish to dispose of, do please get in touch. Depending on the stocks we carry at any particular time, we may well be interested in purchasing good, clean copies, especially if you live nearby. Alternatively, we have a scheme whereby we may contact you and pay you to despatch items we know you have in your possession. Please ask for details or see 'Set to Sell?'.

Discounts

We offer a price discount based on the total value of your order before shipping costs are added. Discount will be automatically calculated at checkout according to the following formula:-

Quality

The items we send have been previously owned. In the majority of cases, our stock is as good as new. Most magazines will have been delivered through a letter-box and may carry the recipient's name, handwritten or on a sticker, on the front cover. We don't usually attempt to remove this. If you are concerned that a name might be present, please ask before ordering. 

In a few cases, where the stock is old, some yellowing or foxing of pages may have occured. Items which have been read may have minor creasing or even small tears. We try to reflect these small defects in the price. Where more than one copy of stock is held (except in the case of clearance items), we will always send you one which, in our opinion, is in the best condition. In just a few cases, we may even offer a choice and price difference, knowing that some collectors are looking for quality, others simply want to fill a space. Packaging

We believe that products should be fair-traded and brought to you in the safest, most economical and environmentally friendly way. For this reason, we will often use re-cycled packaging for your purchases. Delivery of large parcels will usually be made through a service called Parcel2go.com.

Refunds

If the item we send to you is incorrect or damaged in a way not described in the e-shop listing, we will normally award a full refund on return of the item to our premises. If you return goods which are unwanted, we will consider a refund of the price paid, less any shipping costs necessarily incurred in fulfilling your order.
